How to grant access to the Meta Pixel / Dataset
The Pixel / Dataset is used to measure actions on your website: visits, leads, add-to-carts, purchases and other conversions. For proper optimisation, the team needs access to it. Important: in many accounts Meta uses the name Dataset instead of Pixel, or alongside Pixel — it's the same thing.
Steps
- 1
Go to Business Settings.
- 2
Go to Data Sources.
- 3
Choose Datasets or Pixels, depending on the interface available.
- 4
Select the correct Pixel / Dataset.
- 5
Click Assign People or Assign Partners.
- ›For a partner, use our Business ID: 1703044496521723.
- 6
Grant access to the team / partner.
- 7
Check that the Dataset is associated with the correct Ad Account.
- 8
Confirm.
💡 Note
If we have access to the Ad Account but not to the Pixel / Dataset, we can't properly check or optimise conversions.
⚠️ Can't find “Pixel”?
In many accounts the Pixel is organised under a Dataset. Select the correct Dataset from Data Sources — it's the same thing.
